Nick told Victor that Nikki had gotten tired of waiting for him. Victor sensed there was something else going on. He informed Nick and Victoria that he would get to the bottom of it when he returned. He then called Ramona to tell her that he would see her the next week. Victoria hoped that the attraction for Ramona would be over before Nikki returned home.
On their way to Venice, Brad told Nikki of all the sites he wanted to take her to. Jack sent Ashley off on her cruise just as Leanna arrived at the Abbott house. He asked her about Ramona, and Leanna wondered why he was interested. Jack covered by saying he might use her to get to Victor. When he couldn't find Ramona's phone number, he booked a flight to Albuquerque.
Diane was getting ready for the cruise when Michael arrived at her apartment. He was sorry, but his work was going to keep him from going on the cruise. He suggested she go with Marissa.
Megan asked Tricia to celebrate New Year's Eve with Tony and her. Tricia was reluctant but then agreed. Sharon asked Tony about his Christmas. He explained that he'd never told Megan the truth about what had happened between Tricia and him. He wanted to keep peace in the family. Chris asked Nina if she and Tomas wanted to party with them on New Year's Eve.
Victoria wasn't happy that sales had gone down since they'd pulled the ad campaign. However, she was happy that the letters seemed to have stopped. Victoria asked Ryan what he and Tricia were doing for New Year's Eve. He wasn't sure that Tricia could do anything. She was so wrapped up in keeping Tony and Megan away from each other that she couldn't think straight.
When Ryan returned home, he was surprised to find out that Tricia had made plans with Megan and Tony. She told Ryan that she wasn't happy about spending time with them but hadn't known how to turn Megan down. Ryan suggested it was time for her to see a therapist. Megan was thrilled when she was able to get a reservation at the Colonnade Room for four. Tony wasn't so sure it was a good idea.
Chris asked Tomas to join Paul and her for dinner. Tomas wondered if Nina was going. Chris was sure she would. Paul informed Nick that Warton was out of prison on bail. Nick wanted to get in touch with him. Callie ran into Michael Baldwin and asked him about her marital situation. Ashley and Diane ran into each other on board the ship.
Nick went to the warehouse to seek out Larry Warton. He confronted him, telling him to stop writing letters to Victoria. Warton denied writing any letters but challenged Nick to a fight. Nick left for the coffeehouse to celebrate New Year's Eve with Sharon. Victoria was there, waiting for Ross to arrive. Nick told her she didn't have to worry about "the fan" any longer. As it all was happening, Warton watched through the window.
Callie was leery of Michael's intentions regarding her divorce. Malcolm walked in and wondered what was going on. Ryan wasn't comfortable meeting Megan and Tony at the Colonnade Room. He didn't feel Tricia was in the right frame of mind, but Tricia was determined to go. When they arrived, Tricia was disgusted to see Tony kissing her sister.
Ashley and Diane were forced to decide whether to make the cruise unbearable for each other or to tolerate each other. Neil and Olivia stayed home and spent a quiet New Year's Eve together.
Ross joined Victoria at the Y2K party at the coffeehouse. He wasn't happy when Gary joined them and let him know it. Gary decided to leave and gave Victoria a friendly kiss goodnight. Warton entered and watched Nick and Victoria dancing. Nick forced him to leave. Later, Victoria found another letter from "the fan" tucked in her purse.
Billy and Brittany decided to leave the Y2K party and go with J.T. and Rianna over to her house. Her parents weren't home, and there was liquor in the cabinet. Raul went to visit Mac, who was staying home with Katherine and Brock. He gave her a belated Christmas present, and she gave him a kiss.
John invited Jill to spend the evening with him. Christine told Nina that she and Paul insisted that Nina and Tomas join them for dinner at the Colonnade Room. Nina was surprised that Tomas had agreed to go.
Tricia couldn't stand the fact that Tony was out on the dance floor, kissing Megan on the neck. Tricia was so flustered, she spilled a glass of water all over herself and had to excuse herself to go to the ladies' room. When Tony went to pay the bill, Tricia confronted him. She slapped him then suddenly kissed him intensely.
A 1989 classic episode of Y&R aired in place of a new episode due to the holiday.
