When the 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards get underway on Friday, Entertainment Tonight's Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner will once again assume hosting duties. They will also be among a plethora of celebrities from the daytime TV world on hand to present the gold statuettes to the winners.
This year's Daytime Emmy presenters from the soap world include Jackée Harry (Paulina Price Carver, Days of our Lives), Eric Martsolf (Brady Black, DAYS), Steve Burton (Jason Morgan, General Hospital), Laura Wright (Carly Spencer, GH), Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester Finnegan, The Bold and the Beautiful), Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter Walton, B&B), Lauralee Bell (Christine Blair, The Young and the Restless), Eric Braeden (Victor Newman, Y&R), Amelia Heinle (Victoria Newman, Y&R), Christel Khalil (Lily Winters, Y&R) Stefan Dennis (Paul Robinson, Neighbours), Annie Jones (Jane Harris, Neighbours), Kristos Andrews (Peter Garrett, The Bay), and Kiara Liz Ortega (Andrea Collins Castro, The Bay).
Other presenters from the daytime universe include Lidia Bastianich (25 Years with Lidia: A Culinary Jubilee), Derrick Camana (Wizard of Paws), Kelly Clarkson (The Kelly Clarkson Show), Zooey Deschanel (What Am I Eating? With Zooey Deschanel), Scott Evans (Access Hollywood), Star Jones (Divorce Court), Danielle Pinnock (Ghosts), Melvin Robert (Extra), Jonathan Scott (Backed by the Bros), and Dr. Rae Wynn-Grant (Wild Kingdom). You will also see a special appearance from Amanda Kloots and Jerry O'Connell from The Talk.
In addition to awards in both on-screen and behind-the-scenes categories, the Lifetime Achievement honors will go to the husband-and-wife team of Melody Thomas Scott and Ed Scott. Melody Thomas Scott has been playing Nikki Newman on Y&R since 1979. Her husband, Ed, is an accomplished soap producer who has worked on Y&R, B&B, and DAYS.
The Daytime Emmy Awards will take place on Friday, June 7, at Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites in Los Angeles. You can watch it on CBS from 8-10 PM ET/PT.
