This episode originally aired on September 30, 1994. In the episode, Taylor Hayes desperately attempted to escape from Prince Omar to let Ridge know that she was alive, while Ridge and Brooke had their epic first wedding in front of friends -- and foes -- on the beautiful beach in Point Dume, California.
On the beach at Point Dume, surrounded by intricate sand castles and with the ocean crashing behind them, a minister blessed Ridge and Brooke and spoke of how they were becoming husband and wife. The lessons they taught their children were the lessons they learned from their own parents. It wasn't just Brooke and Ridge who were about to be joined; it was the whole family. Meanwhile, Taylor was in a palace, dressed like a Moroccan princess. She paced her room with a manila folder and told a picture of Ridge he didn't deserve another tragedy...she was alive!

While the ceremony progressed in front of family and friends, Wyatt eased his sorrows over his brother’s marriage to his ex-wife with several drinks.
At Il Giardino, Nicole and Zende spotted Wyatt having a drink at the bar. They decided that, because of what was happening at that time, Wyatt needed some company. Wyatt said he'd actually thought about taking the free trip Down Under and catching waves with Thomas, but after thinking about the exchanging of the vows, Wyatt had decided to pass.In Australia, Reverend Harris began Steffy and Liam's wedding with a few words about the scenery, and he announced that the couple's fathers would speak. In the audience, Sally Spectra sneaked cell phone pictures of the event.

In a park in the San Fernando Valley, guitar players strummed Here Comes the Bride, as Stephen led Katie down the aisle to stand by Bill, her groom. Bill told Katie that she took his breath away. The minister began the wedding ceremony. He told the guests that they stood just a few yards away from the house where Katie had spent her childhood – feeling isolated, alone, and sad. Continuing, the minister said that because of her love for Bill, Katie was turning her sadness into joy.

The minister began the ceremony; when he asked if anyone had any objections to the marriage, Ridge bit his lip, and Stephanie stared off into space. Brooke took a breath as the bride and groom were asked to confess any just cause why they might not lawfully be married. Stephanie watched, clearly in pain, as Eric and Brooke took their formal, more Biblical vows. Ridge and Brooke locked eyes a moment too long as he approached with the requested rings, which Eric and Brooke exchanged. After the minister declared Eric and Brooke husband and wife and invited them to kiss, a single tear rolled down Stephanie's face. Ridge also appeared decidedly unhappy.

Before Hope and Liam said their vows, Father Fontana asked if anyone wanted to speak. Ridge and Brooke offered to speak as Hope's parents. In an emotional speech, Ridge said he wanted to speak as Hope's father. He said that he had not been supportive of her marriage for obvious reasons, but she had his full support. He said that he had been honored to be a part of such a gracious and poised young lady's life. He added that he had been privileged and honored to raise her from the time she was a little girl and to be her father. He told her that he loved her.
