The Young and the Restless' Hunter King (Summer Newman) and her sister, Joey King (Independence Day: Resurgence), took to Instagram this week to reveal that their sister, Kelli, was hit by a semi truck "while bicycling to work" Tuesday morning.
"For those that dont know. My sister Kelli was in a terrible accident where she was hit by an 18 wheeler semi truck while bicycling to work yesterday morning," Joey King wrote in a post. "She's in great hands and is on the road to recovery. I'm just unbelievably grateful that she's alive. Please keep her in your thoughts."
Hunter posted a childhood photo of herself with her recovering sister along with the caption, "My homie since day one.. Kelli I'm so thankful that you're okay. God was lookin out for you yesterday. I love you so much and you bet your ass I'm gonna call you everyday to bug you and remind you how much you're loved. Gotta hold the loved ones tight and be thankful for each day."
Kelli, who is still in the hospital after the scary accident, also posted a photo on Instagram. The snap shows her with a very bruised face posing with Hunter and has the caption, "Thank you for all the well wishes everyone! I am so thankful to be alive and on the road to recovery."
