Hunter King (Summer Newman) will soon be pulling double duty with jobs in both daytime and primetime. While fans of the actress might cheer the chance to see the two-time Emmy winner on more than one show, it does come with a catch.
For the upcoming fall season, King has been promoted to series regular on CBS's 30-minute sitcom Life In Pieces, according to Deadline. That promotion means that King's role on The Young and the Restless will be scaled back to recurring.
"So excited to also be joining the #LifeInPieces family," King shared on Twitter. "Beyond blessed for this opportunity!"
It's unclear how much less viewers might be seeing King on Y&R, but some of the actress's current and former costars took to social media to congratulate her on her new gig.
"So excited for you boo boo," Camryn Grimes (Mariah Copeland) tweeted with a kissie face emoji.
"Wonderful news!!! So proud of you," beamed Y&R alum Jessica Collins (ex-Avery Clark).
"Congrats my love! SUCH a great show," added Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Larson).
