A familiar character is on his way back to The Young and the Restless, but he'll look a bit different from when fans saw him last. Actor Brooks Darnell has taken over the role of Nate Hastings, who returns to Genoa City on Tuesday, July 3.
Formerly played by Walter Fauntleroy, Darnell's Nate will make a very revealing debut on Tuesday, July 3. He'll later be revealed as a doctor who is secretly treating Victor (Eric Braeden).
As Y&R viewers may recall, Nate is the son of Nathan Hastings and Olivia Barber but was partially raised by Malcolm Winters. He was last seen in Genoa City back in 2011, when he worked as Ronan Malloy's (Jeff Branson) specialist.
Y&R marks Darnell's first foray into daytime television. His previous credits include Nothing Personal, Breakout Kings, Bones, and Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments. According to his IMDb page, Brooks held off on pursuing his acting career to continue his education as a pre-med student on a football scholarship. But a sports injury propelled him back into the world of acting.
