"The brain, the athlete, the basket case, the princess, and the criminal are still stuck in that damn library!" -- so says the intro for The Last Breakfast Club, a stage production starring The Young and the Restless' Max Ehrich (ex-Fenmore Baldwin) that is currently running through the end of summer at Rockwell Table and Stage in Los Feliz, California.
The musical parody, presented by The Fuse Project and Rockwell Table and Stage, is based on the classic 1980s film The Breakfast Club and takes place ten years after the original characters' story.
"Their teenage angst and in-depth exploration of youth continues inside Shermer High School," states the press release for the show.
Taking the stage alongside Ehrich include Jonah Platt (Wicked), Garrett Clayton (Hairspray Live), Anna Grace Barlow (Scream Queens), and Jimmy Ray Bennett (Hand of God).
