The time that nine-year-old Mckenna Grace has spent as The Young and the Restless' Faith Newman is certainly paying off. Not only will she be appearing in the highly anticipated summer blockbuster sequel Independence Day: Resurgence, she'll also be starring in the upcoming sequel of another franchise: Amityville: The Awakening.
Grace, who took on the role of Nick and Sharon's daughter in 2013 (and has shared the character with actress Alivia Alyn Lind), appears opposite award-winning actress Jennifer Jason Leigh, as well as Belle Thorne, Cameron Monoghan, and Thomas Mann in the film, scheduled for wide theatrical release on Friday, April 1.
"Belle, her little sister, and her comatose twin brother move into a new house with their single mother Joan in order to save money to help pay for her brother's expensive healthcare," states an official release about the film, from the producers of Paranormal Activity and Insidious. "But when strange phenomena begin to occur in the house including the miraculous recovery of her brother, Belle begins to suspect her Mother isn't telling her everything and soon realizes they just moved into the infamous Amityville house."
