Cady McClain (Kelly Andrews; ex-Dixie Martin, All My Children; ex-Rosanna Cabot, As the World Turns) and Jon Lindstrom (Kevin Collins, General Hospital; ex-Craig Montgomery, ATWT) quietly wed at a Beverly Hills courthouse on Valentine's Day.
"[I]t wasn't spontaneous but nor was it always the plan. We've been engaged for quite a while and it just seemed like the natural order of things," Lindstrom told TVGuide's Michael Logan. "We also felt that there would be real protection for one another if we got married. We love each other deeply and get along so well that it was kinda like, why not? I'm not going anywhere. Cady's not going anywhere. So, really, why not?"
Lindstrom went on to say that neither he nor McClain wanted the "pomp and circumstance" of a public wedding. The wedding reception included a burger truck and was attended by an intimate group of close friends and family.
Lindstrom and McClain got engaged in 2012.
McClain, a two-time Daytime Emmy winner who began her daytime career in 1988 as All My Children's Dixie Cooney, was recently hired to assume the role of Kelly Andrews on The Young and the Restless.
In addition to his recurring role on General Hospital, Lindstrom wrote, produced, and directed the new film How We Got Away With It. He is also attached to another project that he will direct.
