It's been 15 years since Dr. Tim Reid last appeared in Genoa City -- but that's all about to change. Veteran actor Aaron Lustig (Tim Reid) will reprise the role of Dr. Reid in late May.

According to TVGuide, Lustig's return was brought about by the show's decision to revisit the cold-case plot where Phyllis tried to kill Christine in a hit-and-run accident. Ricky Williams will start asking questions about what really happened, and the trail will lead him to Dr. Reid.

Lusting was last seen on The Young and the Restless in 1997. Four years later, the actor played the same role on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Since leaving daytime, Lustig has made numerous appearances in primetime and feature films. The actor most recently appeared in the romantic comedy, The Five Year Engagement.

Lustig begins airing on Y&R on May 30. He appearance is currently slated to last about six episodes.
