The actress whose trademark short-shorts made her part of the vernacular is headed to Genoa City. Catherine Bach, who played Daisy Duke on the 1980s series The Dukes of Hazzard, will appear on The Young and the Restless
Entertainment Weekly reports that Bach has been signed to play the role of Anita, "the scheming mother of" Chelsea.
Bach's on-screen cousin, Tom Wopat, appeared as Hank on All My Children in 2001.
The Dukes of Hazzard aired on CBS from 1979 through 1985.
Bach will first report to the Y&R set on January 10. She will first appear on-screen on February 7.
