Josh Taylor was plucked from working behind the bar at a popular Burbank watering hole across from NBC to be cast in "Days of our Lives" back in the mid-1970s.
Taylor portrayed the popular, blue-collar Chris Kositchek from 1977-81 and returned in the same role from 1982-87. During this time, he was named "Sexiest Man of the Year" by Afternoon TV and "Best Newcomer of the Year" by a soap opera magazine.
During his second stint on "Days," Taylor drew double duty while co-starring in NBC's primetime comedy "Valerie" (which later evolved into "The Hogan Family"). Later, he also starred on "Riker." His other daytime drama roles include a short stint on "The Guiding Light" and "The Young and the Restless." His other guest-starring credits include "Beverly Hills 90210," "Diagnosis: Murder," "Walker, Texas Ranger," "Murder, She Wrote," "Matlock," "Hotel," "Semi-Tough" and NBC's "L.A. Law." Among his TV movies are "Stand Against Fear," "Woman On the Ledge," "Semester at Sea" and "The Secret Life of Kathy McCormick."
Taylor's big-screen credits include "Separate Lives," "Valentine" and "Waltz Across Texas."
Taylor is a native of Chillichote, Illinois, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth University. Taylor also holds a Juris Doctorate in Law. He is married and resides in Burbank.
