Ms. Hays, who's been with As The World Turns since 1972, has always been interested in acting and took theater class at Northwestern University while she was still in high school. After high school, Kathryn attended junior college in Joliet, Illinois. Among Kathryn's credit's are her guest starring roles in over 50 television series including High Chaparral and Star Trek, for which she received Emmy award nominations. She also starred in the 1977 CBS after-school special, After Hours: Getting to Know You
Kathryn also has many theater and feature film credits. Her stage credits include appearances in musicals with the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera and a starring role in the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera production of the musical Follies which was videotaped as a permanent part of the Lincoln Center Library of the Performing Arts collection of American musicals. She also appeared in a number of regional productions across the country.
Kathryn has also toured with co-star Don Hastings in the musical concert act, Hastings and Hays on Love and they both were cast members of an off-Broadway production of Algonquin Sampler.
Kathryn lives in New York City. She has a married daughter, Sherri.
