CBS Daytime does drama like nobody else, but it also does glamour with just as much know-how. So much so, the hair and makeup teams from the network's two soap operas, The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless, are going toe-to-toe against each other and some serious talk show talent in the upcoming 8th Annual Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards.
B&B's makeup team (Christine Lai Johnson, Stacey Alfano, and James Elle) and Y&R's makeup team (Patricia Denney, Kathy Jones, Laura Schaffer, and Kelsey Collins) will compete against each other as well as the makeup teams from The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, and The Real for the Best Make-Up award in the daytime television category.
Meanwhile, B&B's hairstyling team (Lisa Long, Danielle Spencer, Lauren Larsen, and Christina Joseph) and Y&R's hairstyling team (Adriana Lucio, Lauren Mendoza, Regina Rodriquez, and Jackie Zavala) will compete against each other as well as the hairstyling teams from The Kelly Clarkson Show, The Real, and the Dr. Phil episode "From Tech Genius to Unmotivated Mess" for the Best Hair Styling award in the daytime television category.
Winners of the 8th Annual MUAHS Guild Awards will be honored at a virtual gala set for Saturday, April 3, 2021. The virtual show will be premiering live to an international audience and is free to all who register here. Presenters are TBA, but the Lifetime Achievement Awards to makeup artist Matthew W. Mungle (Sunset Beach, Desperate Housewives) and hairstylist Terry Baliel will be presented by Glenn Close and Helena Bonham Carter, respectively.

With the glamour and style of a Hollywood movie premiere, the MUAHS Guild Awards attracts celebrity talent, filmmakers, producers, other makeup and hair industry professionals, and Guild members. "The Artisan" award is given in 23 categories of film, television, commercials, and live theater.
The Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild (IATSE Local 706) is the official labor union for makeup artists and hair stylists in film, television, stage, commercials, digital media, and the Disneyland theme park. The guild's artistic professionals have created the iconic looks for Hollywood's most memorable characters and stars, and have influenced major trends in the consumer industry.
