DAYS' nominees include head writer Ron Carlivati with writers Lorraine Broderick, Joanna Cohen, Carolyn Culliton, Richard Culliton, Rick Draughon, Dave Kreizman, Rebecca McCarty, Ryan Quan, Dave Ryan, Katherine D. Schock, and Elizabeth Snyder.
GH nominees include head writers Dan O'Connor and Christopher Van Etten with associate head writer Anna T. Cascio, and writers Barbara Bloom, Suzanne Flynn, Charlotte Gibson, Lucky Gold, Kate Hall, Elizabeth Korte, Donny Sheldon, Scott Sickles, David Rupel, and Lisa Seidman.
A spokesperson for The Bold and the Beautiful tells Soap Central that the show chose not to submit this year. The Young and the Restless, which took home top honors in this category last year, also did not submit this year.
As soap fans may recall, General Hospital won the WGA trophy for five years in a row, from 2015 to 2019. Y&R broke GH's winning streak when it took home the award last year. Will Days of our Lives finally have its day in the WGA sun, or will GH get back on its WGA winning horse? Fans can find out when the WGA winners are announced on Sunday, March 21.
