In what's being called one of the largest demonstrations in United States history, millions of women (and quite a few men) gathered in over 500 cities across the nation to march for female equality. And there were quite a few faces familiar to daytime fans within the nearly four million protestors who marched in an effort to bring awareness to equal human rights.
The Young and the Restless star Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott; ex-Dr. Patrick Drake, General Hospital) took to Twitter to share that he joined the march in Los Angeles with his wife, Paloma, and their son, Bowie.
"I grew up in a home of equality. My dad cooked, cleaned, changed the brakes on the car, took out the garbage, did whatever needed to be done along with my mother to raise 3 boys," he wrote to go along with an Instagram photo. "My father treated my mother with love and respect and demanded that my brothers and I did the same. I am grateful everyday, that's what I was taught. Paloma was raised by a single mother that not only taught her to value herself but also showed her to celebrate being a woman. I am grateful everyday for that. To me, there is no greater responsibility than raising a compassionate, brave, thoughtful son to march this earth and respect the ground he marches on and the people he marches beside. Some may think today was misguided, a waste of time... I disagree."
Former All My Children star Denise Vasi (ex-Randi Hubbard) was much more risqué during her presence at the march in Washington, DC, having made a provocative sign that likely turned quite a few heads.
'Look Mommy, I made this!' Is what I text my Mother this morning on my way to Washington D.C.," she wrote of her get-noticed protest sign. "I 'broke' night painting my poster and gearing up for whatever the Women's March had to offer. 'Why?' A friend asked 'Why?! Because what am I doing here if not to be heard and to be seen?! I didn't leave my daughter for the very first time ever to be coy about why I'm here!!! I replied I was not shy when people asked to take a photo of my poster! I made it so it would be noticed!! I made it because I believe in what it represents. I made it because I want all women to have the ability to decide on what is right for them. I made it because I am a woman, and I know what it is like to make choices concerning MY body that will [affect] MY life. I made it because I know what it is like to carry a human being inside of MY body for 41 and 1/2 weeks!!! I know what it is like to give birth. I know what it is to feed another from MY very own body. I made this poster because I want my daughter to know that nobody should have any say about what she does with HER body!! I made this for you, for me, I made this for HER and I carried it proudly."
Former GH star Amber Tamblyn (ex-Emily Quartermaine) was busy over the weekend, having attended both the women's march in Washington, DC, and in New York City. And she even ran into her former Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants costars Blake Lively and America Ferrera.
Guiding Light and All My Children alum Stephanie Gatschet (ex-Tammy Layne-Winslow; ex-Madison North) attended a march with her daughter, Vela, and posted a photo of her nursing as her "big act of feminism" for the day.
Days of our Lives' star Marci Miller (Abigail Deveraux) attended the march in Los Angeles, and while she didn't share a photo of herself, she did share a photo of part of the estimated 750,000-person crowd.
Y&R's Hunter King (Summer Newman) was unable to attend the march due to an illness, but she tweeted that she was "there in spirit."

Julianne Moore (ex-Frannie Hughes, As the World Turns) marched with other famous faces, including Debra Messing, Alysia Reiner, and Amy Schumer. "Equality hurts no one," she wrote in an Instagram post showing part of the enormous crowd.

Eden Riegel, who played Erica Kane's lesbian daughter, Bianca, on AMC also attended the march in L.A. "Let's do this, people who care!" she wrote, followed by a quip that her post came late due to poor cell service. "Too many people who care!"

GH alum James Franco (ex-Franco) took part in the L.A. march as well. He shared a photo of himself holding a sign that read, "Women are perfect," along with caption, "LA was alive today. Love, love, love. And don't stop standing up, ever."
