It's been two months since an off-the-cuff comment from a Prospect Park executive revealed that One Life to Live had been indefinitely shelved. Now, a report has surfaced that Prospect Park will be breaking their silence to make another big announcement.

"Is Prospect Park 'shelving' @allmychildren too? I'm hearing big announcement planned for this Friday," TV Guide's Michael Logan shared on Twitter.

Sources tell Soap Central that the show's staffers have already been informed that there will not be a second season of All My Children.

In September, Prospect Park revealed that its ongoing legal dispute with ABC had forced it to indefinitely shelve One Life to Live. The network instead vowed to focus its energy on producing All My Children, which managed to draw more viewers in its online return.

"It's been crazy," Prospect Park chief Kwatinetz, a former talent manager, told the Los Angeles Times. "If I were able to turn back the hands of time, there would be lots of things that we would do differently."

All My Children's writing team -- which has yet to see any of its material air -- was reportedly putting together scripts for the series' second season. Production was to originally have resumed in August but was later pushed back to late October. October came and went without any movement on a new season of AMC.

Prospect Park has not publicly indicated that it will make any formal announcement. It should, however, be noted that the company's first attempt at rebooting All My Children and One Life to Live was announced the day before Thanksgiving in 2011. Earlier that same year, TV Guide's Logan was also one of the first journalists to report rumblings that ABC was considering the cancellation of both AMC and OLTL.
