One Life to Live will look very familiar when it makes its move to the Internet in early 2012. Five more stars have signed on to continue with the show when it begins production under Prospect Park's TOLN network.
Melissa Archer (Natalie Buchanan), Kelley Missal (Danielle Manning), Andrew Trischitta (Jack Manning), Sean Ringgold (Shaun Evans), and Jerry verDorn (Clint Buchanan) have all reached deals that will allow them to continue to play their fictional Llanview personas. It should, however, be noted that the deals are pending final approval by American Federation of Television and Radio Arts (AFTRA), the union representing the soap stars.
Prospect Park announced earlier this month that Ted King (Tomas Delgado), Michael Easton (John McBain), Kassie DePaiva (Blair Cramer), and multi-Emmy winner Erika Slezak (Victoria Lord) had signed on to appear in the web-based One Life to Live.
Prospect Park has also secured the talents of Emmy-winning head writer Ron Carlivati, who will also remain with the show. In doing so, Carlivati has also taken on a new title: Consulting Producer.
"I am both excited and honored to remain with One Life to Live as Head Writer and Consulting Producer when the show moves online," Carlivati said in a statement. "My heartfelt thanks to Executive Producer Frank Valentini, as well as to Rich Frank and Jeff Kwantinetz of Prospect Park, for this incredible opportunity."
In June, ABC had announced that Carlivati would be joining the writing team of General Hospital after production on OLTL wrapped.
"I would also like to express my very sincere gratitude to everyone at ABC Daytime, especially Jill Phelps at General Hospital, for supporting me in this decision," Carlivati acknowledged.
Frank Valentini, One Life to Live's executive producer, will also remain with the show.
Earlier this week, Prospect Park announced the long-anticipated name of its new online entertainment network, THE Online Network. TOLN, as the network is being called, is expected to debut in January 2012.
