Springfield's newest family continues to grow by leaps and bounds. The Boudreau family, which was originally stated to be just a one-person unit, has now grown to four members.
The first Boudreau announced was matriarch Felicia Boudreau, played by soap and film veteran Shari Headley. Headley might be best known for her role as Mimi Reed on All My Children. Before that, Headley starred in the Eddie Murphy film Coming to America. She also appeared in the short-lived but critically acclaimed FOX series, 413 Hope Street.
Headley's on-screen husband, Clayton, will be played by Days of our Lives veteran Richard Biggs. Biggs played Marcus Hunter on DAYS from 1987 to 1992. In addition to his daytime work, Biggs has also appeared on the sci-fi series Babylon 5.
The pair's daughter, Melissande - Mel for short - made her debut earlier this month as an intern at Cedars Hospital. Another DAYS vet, Yvonna Kopacz (ex-Wendy) tackles the role.
The latest addition to the family is Corey Parker Robinson. Robinson earned praise for his work on the HBO series The Corner, a miniseries about life in an inner-city Baltimore neighborhood. Robinson will play college-age Remy Boudreau starting September 24th.
According to a Guiding Light spokesperson, all four members of the Boudreau family "are all on a recurring status."
