It looks like T.J. was right: his mom will be headed back to Port Charles in the very near future. Tanisha Harper has joined the cast of General Hospital in the role of Jordan Ashford.
GH will mark Harper's first daytime role, but the actress joins the ABC soap with plenty of dramatic experience. Harper recently guest-starred on Hulu's Dollface and Hacks on HBO Max. Other credits include Netflix's Dear White People and the comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
When last seen on-screen, Jordan was sent to a medical clinic in Albany for treatment of renal failure.
Harper will be the third actress -- or fourth if you count a temporary recast -- to play the role of Jordan. The character was originally portrayed by Vinessa Antoine. The actress played the role from March 2014 through September 2018 when Antoine landed a role on the CBS series Diggstown. Though Antoine later revealed that she had hoped to continue on GH on a recurring basis, the role was recast.
Briana Nicole Henry took over the role in September 2018 and made a surprise exit from the show in September 2021. Henry announced her exit on social media after her character's final on-screen appearance.
Deadline, which first reported the news of Harper's hiring, reports that the actress will begin airing in March.
