Could General Hospital's Ryan Paevey have traded in his role as Port Charles cop Nathan West for another police-related role? That seems to be the case, as a recent social media post he shared makes it appear as if he has landed a role on the NYPD-focused sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
The California native took to Instagram with a photo of himself with Joe Lo Truglio, who plays Detective Charles Boyle on the primetime comedy.
"This guy...one of the warmest, funniest humans I've ever met," he captioned the photo, along with the hashtags @brooklyn99fox #fortunatewanderer#lifeofadventure #neverbored#hewasfunny #iwasserious #again.
Details of what role he might be playing in Brooklyn Nine-Nine or when his airdate might be are still under wraps. If Paevey indeed has landed a role on the series, he won't be the only soap alum starring on the show: Melissa Fumero (ex-Adriana Cramer, One Life to Live) stars as Amy Santiago.
GH fans have been reeling since the end of January, when Paevey's Port Charles alter ego was killed off. After the heartbreaking moment, the actor took to social media to share that the decision to leave the ABC soap opera was his own. "[Executive producer] Frank Valentini and I sat down to talk as [gentlemen], and while he was disappointed, he gave me a better send-off than I ever could have asked for, and i will always be grateful," he said. "Cut the guy some slack. His job is hard, and thankless."
