Sarah Brown's (Carly Corinthos) contract with General Hospital doesn't expire for another two months, but that hasn't stopped the rumors about her possible departure from swirling.
At ABC's Super Soap Weekend this past November, Brown revealed that she's not too sure if she's going to renew her contract with General Hospital when expires in March. According to some new reports, General Hospital might already have a contingency plan if the actress decides to walk -- a Carly recast.
Though an ABC spokesperson denies the claims, one set of rumors has Robin Christopher (Skye Chandler, One Life to Live) dropping anchor in Port Charles just in case Emmy-winner Brown decides not to renew her contract.
A new report has surfaced in which Gina Tognoni (Kelly, One Life to Live) will apparently take over for Brown. Tognoni is currently contracted to One Life to Live, but her contract expires in a few months -- about the same time Brown's contract with GH would expire.
Though Brown enjoys her work on the show, she is exploring a future in film. Within the next few weeks, Brown will learn if she has been accepted to film school. Even if she is, there's no definitive word that this would mean she'd be departing the show.
