Days of our Lives' Marci Miller (Abigail Deveraux) and her husband, Ryan Matteson, became first-time parents when they welcomed a baby girl on March 13.
The actress, who miraculously managed to keep the entirety of her pregnancy secret from the public, shared the surprise news of the birth of her daughter on Instagram. And from the sound of it, the newborn had a truly soapy entrance into this world!
"And just like that, we see in colors that we never knew existed," Miller wrote, adding, "Willett (Willie) James Matteson interrupted her parents' game of blackjack at a mountain casino to be born March 13th in the midst of a blizzard. She has us over the moon. @kalecabdeliversbrah."
Miller's post is accompanied by a series of beautiful black and white family photos that show off Willie, as well as the actress and Matteson's happiness over the addition of their tiny bundle of joy.
Matteson also took to Instagram with some family photos along with the caption, "My heart could not be larger. Our little 6lb 10oz, Willett James Matteson, joined us air breathers on 3/13 during a Denver white out blizzard. Mom and dad are ecstatic... And tired."
Marci Miller joined Days of our Lives in 2016 as a recast for Kate Mansi in the role of Abby. When Miller unexpectedly left the series in 2018, Mansi reprised the role for brief stints that lasted through May of 2020, at which point she decided to walk away from the series again. In a rare revolving door situation, DAYS decided for the second time to recast the role with Marci Miller, who stepped back into the shoes of Abigail in mid-2020.
Miller and Matteson have been married since November 2008.
