Days of our Lives just dropped a summer preview video that shows several fan favorites slated to return to the canvas in the weeks and months ahead. In addition to Alison Sweeney, who previously revealed she'll be back on the canvas as Sami Brady in August, fans can look forward to returns by Jay Kenneth Johnson (Philip Kiriakis), Louise Sorel (Vivian Alamain), and Bryan Dattilo (Lucas Horton)!
The soap's summer preview also teases four weddings that will soon be taking place -- although fans will have to tune in to find out which of the four are actually completed! The upcoming nuptials are between Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker); Eli (Lamon Archey) and Lani (Sal Stowers); Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara (Victoria Konefal); and Justin (Wally Kurth) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans).
The theme "four weddings" naturally begets "and a funeral," after the 1994 film of the same name, but DAYS is remaining mum on whether or not fans will see a death in addition to the four scheduled trips down the aisle. What viewers will see, however, is exciting baby news for Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Will (Chandler Massey). (For more on WilSon's final episodes, check out Soap Central's interview with Massey here.)
Additionally, several more previously announced homecomings are headed viewers' way. As Soap Central previously reported, fans can look forward to the returns of Olivia Rose Keegan as Claire Brady, Martha Madison as Belle Brady, Brandon Beemer as Shawn Brady, and Kassie DePaiva as Eve Donovan.
Meanwhile, The Young and the Restless alum Emily O'Brien (ex-Jana Hawkes) has joined DAYS as Jake's (Brandon Barash) ex-girlfriend, Gwen, and Allie Horton has been SORAS'd -- though the soap has yet to reveal who will be playing the adult version of Lucas and Sami's daughter.
