Linsey Godfrey is celebrating a birthday -- and a new daytime role. The three-time Daytime Emmy nominee has been cast as Sarah Horton on Days of our Lives.
Don't worry if you're not familiar with Sarah Horton. It has been quite a long time -- 27 years, to be exact -- since the character was last spotted in Salem. Sarah is the biological child of Maggie Horton and the adoptive daughter of Mickey Horton. Sarah's biological father is Neil Curtis. The character was born in 1981, which would make her 37. That makes the character a bit older than Godfrey, so it is unclear if there will be some creative reworking of the character's age.
Godfrey made her daytime debut as Caroline Spencer on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2012. In May 2017, Godfrey revealed that she was no longer on contract with the CBS soap. Since her B&B exit, Godfrey has given stand-up comedy a whirl and filmed a yet-to-be-revealed movie with As the World Turns/General Hospital/B&B alum Lesli Kay.
According to setside sources, Godfrey first reported for work in May. That means the actress will pop up on-screen in the fall.
