Emmy winner Eileen Davidson (Kristen DiMera, Days of our Lives; Ashley Abbott, The Young and the Restless) announced on social media that she is leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
"After a lot of thought, because of my crazy scheds at Y&R and [DAYS], I've decided it's best for me and my fam to step away from being a housewife for now," she shared on Instagram. "But ya never know! I might be popping in to see what the ladies are up to from time to time! Thanks for your love and support guys!!!"
Davidson joined the cast of the Bravo reality series in 2014 at what was reported to be a record salary of $750,000.
Bravo has had no comment on Davidson's departure.
Davidson reported back to work on Days of our Lives on June 5. Though the NBC soap has yet to comment on Davidson's return -- and she will not appear on-screen until later this year -- Davidson will continue to work on The Young and the Restless.
In related news, DAYS alum Lisa Rinna, who joined the Beverly Hills housewives at the same time as Davidson, will be back for the series' eighth season. Taping on the new season has already begun.
