The rumors have been circulating for months, but now several outlets are confirming that Shawn Christian is exiting his role as Days of our Lives' Dr. Daniel Jonas.
Serial Scoop reports that the actor's eight-year run as the character will soon be coming to an end, and Daniel will not be making it out of Salem alive. However, the outlet reports that, unlike Melissa Archer's Serena and True O'Brien's Paige, he will not be another victim of the Necktie Killer.
In fact, it turns out that Daniel isn't the only character slated to leave in a non-serial killer turn of events. Another major exit unrelated to the killer will apparently be happening in early 2016.
Christian, who reportedly already taped his final episode, is also known to daytime fans as As the World Turns' Mike Kasnoff. He's also starred on Summerland, Las Vegas, and Venice, and has been busy at work filming his latest project, a thriller called Last Seen in Idaho.
