Disney Channel is taking on the Marvel Comics world with its upcoming animated version of the comic Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, and the fun-filled project has called on daytime newbie Diamond White (Paris Buckingham, The Bold and the Beautiful) to voice Moon Girl!
"I'm a superhero!" the actress posted on Instagram of her new voice-gig.
Based on Marvel's hit comic books, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur follows the adventures of thirteen-year-old super-genius Lunella Lafayette (a.k.a. Moon Girl) and her ten-ton T-Rex, Devil Dinosaur. After Lunella accidentally brings Devil Dinosaur into present-day New York City via a time vortex, the duo works together to protect the city's Lower East Side from danger.
Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur is being executive produced by Hollywood legend Laurence Fishburne (ex-Josh West Hall, One Life to Life), who will also recur as a curious and mischievous trickster called the Beyonder. The series, which also includes Alfre Woodard and Saturday Night Live's Sasheer Zamata in its cast, is set to premiere in 2022.
Diamond White joined the cast of B&B as Paris Buckingham in the autumn of 2020. She is probably best known for her role as Lala on Fox's Empire but also has credits that include Dear White People, Fresh Off the Boat, Pinky Malinky, Sofia the First, The Lion Guard, Guidance, and The Haunted Hathaways.
