There's nothing sweeter than a bowl full of Halloween candy, except maybe an October Christmas film that features CBS Daytime stars. And that's just what the upcoming Hallmark movie A Merry Christmas Match is serving up -- appearances by Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra, The Bold and the Beautiful) and Alice Hunter (ex-Kerry Johnson, The Young and the Restless).
The romantic holiday film follows Ashley Newbrough in the role of Corey, a girl who works in her mom's antique shop in the middle of a ski village. Corey always dreamed of leaving the town and becoming a theater director, but, keeping her promise to her late father, she sets her ambitions aside and takes care of her home and organizes a Christmas pageant show. When she encounters the young and charming Ryder (Kyle Dean Massey), Corey discovers new experiences and emotions, and she tries to make sense of it all. Has Ryder walked into her life as a ray of hope, helping her find her way to fulfill her dreams? In the course of the pair's interactions, sparks fly, and they realize it is more than just friendship.
B&B's Hope plays a character named Victoria in the film, while Y&R's Hunter plays the role of Deanna.
Hope took to Instagram to give fans the heads-up about the film, writing, "Anyone else wanting love for Christmas? Or is it just Victoria? 🎄🥰 Christmas in October comes this Friday the 25th on @hallmarkmovie at 9PM!"
The inspiring love story between Corey and Ryder unfolds during the Christmas holidays, but fans can watch A Merry Christmas Match sooner, as Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is releasing it this Friday, October 25, at 9PM/8C.
Courtney Hope, who has recently been appearing on The Price is Right, joined the cast of B&B in 2017. Some of her other credits include Quantum Break, NCIS, and Bones.
Alice Hunter played the role of Kerry Johnson, brief love interest for Y&R's Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), from 2018 to 2019. Her other credits include For the People, Another Period, House of Lies, and Bad Samaritans.
