Steven was the only child of Vicky Hudson and her first husband, Jamie Frame. His pregnancy was an accident...when Vicky seduced Jamie, he was in love with Lisa Grady. Vicky used Steven to push Jamie into marrying her, but there was a custody battle when he was just an infant between Jake and Vicky, as either Jake or Jamie could have been his father. In the end, it turned out Jamie was his father, and Jamie was awarded custody, but Steven ended up living with Vicky nearly exclusively.
