Former All My Children star Ambyr Childers is seeking a restraining order against her ex-husband. Childers alleges her ex engaged in both emotional and physical violence.

All My Children alum Ambyr Childers has filed a restraining order against her ex-husband, Randall Emmett. The actress claims she was emotionally and verbally abused during their marriage.

In paperwork submitted to Los Angeles County Superior Court this week, Childers cited "legitimate fear for [her] safety and well-being." Her request for a temporary emergency order was denied one day after she filed. A hearing on the matter will be held November 14.

Childers alleges that she found "threatening" messages between Emmett and his lawyer.

Childers and Emmett have two daughters: London, 12, and Rylee, 8. Childers claims that while under Emmett's care, London was repeatedly late to school.

US Weekly reports that Childers also claims that her ex "would put his hand around my neck and tell me that I could never get away from him" before their split.

Childers and Emmett were married for six years before he filed for legal separation in 2015. Their divorce was finalized two years later.

The 34-year-old Childers played the role of Colby Chandler on All My Children from 2006 to 2008. Since her AMC exit, she has gone on to appear in the Lifetime/Hulu series You as well as Showtime's Ray Donovan.

In 2018, following his split from Childers, Emmett got engaged to Lala Kent. The pair welcomed daughter Ocean in March 2021, before ending their relationship in November 2021 amid allegations that Emmett cheated.

Us reports that their experiences with Emmett have resulted in Kent and Childers becoming friends.
