Television viewers can't seem to get enough of watching tough women carry out revenge plots, which means the upcoming series Reprisal, which stars All My Children alum Abigail Spencer (ex-Rebecca Tyree) in the leading role, is likely to get a fair amount of viewers.
Described by TV Line as a hyper-kinetic revenge tale, Reprisal follows Spencer as a relentless femme fatale who, after being left for dead, leads a vengeful campaign against a bombastic gang of gear heads.
Hulu has given the series -- which was created, written, and executive produced by Josh Corbin -- the green light, meaning production should be starting soon. Other cast members include Rodrigo Santoro, Mena Massoud, Madison Davenport, Rhys Wakefield, David Dastmalchian, W. Earl Brown, and Gilbert Owuor.
Spencer played the role of AMC's Rebecca from 1998 to 2001. After leaving AMC, she went on to find mainstream fame in series like Mad Men, Rectify, Suits, True Detective, and Timeless.
Reprisal is set to launch on Hulu sometime later this year.
