Stephen King and J.J. Abrams' upcoming Hulu thriller, 11/22/63, is boasting quite the impressive cast, with both Josh Duhamel (ex-Leo du Pres, All My Children) and James Franco (ex-Franco, General Hospital) on board.
Based on King's best-selling novel of the same name, the miniseries follows high school English teacher Jake Epping (Franco) as he travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, states The Hollywood Reporter. But his mission is threatened by falling in love, Lee Harvey Oswald (Daniel Webber), and the past itself -- which doesn't want to be changed.
Duhamel will reportedly be playing the role of Frank Dunning, the father of Jake's student Harry Dunning (Jack Fulton and Leon Rippy), in 1960s Kentucky. Frank is described as a rakish town butcher, a ladies' man with an effortless, welcoming smile. However, he's not all the wonderful he's cracked up to be, seeing as how Jake knows exactly the kind of violence of which Frank is capable...
The cast also includes Chris Cooper, Cherry Jones, George MacKay, Lucy Fry, and T.R. Knight.
Duhamel played the role of AMC's Leo from 1999 to 2002 and made a brief return in 2011. Meanwhile, Franco made several short appearances as his GH character between 2009 and 2012.
